Parts of Ravet this page covers
- Ravet Gaon
- Pradhikaran Sector 29
- Sector 32A
- Walhekarwadi
- Punawale
- Kiwale
Ravet is a mix of old and new: planned Pradhikaran sectors such as 29 and 32A on the Akurdi side, the village core, and a lot of newer high-rise housing. The Pavana river forms its southern edge, crossed at Ravet by the Sant Tukaram bridge, and the Katraj-Dehu Road bypass, part of the Mumbai-Bengaluru highway, meets the Expressway here.
Home tutors in Ravet: where they are likely to come from
With this much new housing, your nearest suitable tutor may not live in Ravet itself. The settled neighbourhoods next door, Akurdi, Nigdi Pradhikaran, Walhekarwadi and Chinchwad, are a short ride from much of Ravet, as are Punawale and Tathawade towards Wakad. Our Pimpri-Chinchwad page covers those older parts of the city.
Three things shape real travel time around Ravet: the bypass, the Expressway junction and the Pavana. A tutor 3 km away who has to cross the river or the highway at rush hour can take longer than one 5 km away on a straight road, so ask about the route, not just the distance.
For tutors who don't ride a two-wheeler, the nearest railway station is Akurdi, on the Pune-Lonavala local line, with an auto ride from there. That can make a tutor who lives near Chinchwad or Pimpri station more practical than the map suggests.
CBSE schools around Ravet
CBSE's affiliation directory lists S.B. Patil Public School, City Pride School and Arise International School in Ravet, D.Y. Patil Dnyanshanti School in Sector 29 on the Akurdi-Ravet side, Adhira International School in Punawale and Blossom Public School on the highway at Tathawade. If your child is at one of them, look for a tutor who works from NCERT books and knows CBSE's internal assessment; our page on CBSE home tutors explains what that looks like.
If your child is on another board, such as the Maharashtra State Board or ICSE, say so clearly in your requirement. A tutor's experience with one board's textbooks and paper pattern doesn't carry over automatically.
Home tuition in Ravet and the Hinjewadi commute
Ravet's newer housing draws a lot of young IT professionals, and the evening drive back from Hinjewadi through Punawale and Tathawade uses the same stretch of the bypass a tutor from Wakad or Tathawade would ride along at 6 pm. A tutor from the Pradhikaran sectors or Akurdi can usually come on local roads instead, away from that traffic.
So if both parents work in the IT park, look first at tutors on the Akurdi side of Ravet and in Nigdi Pradhikaran for weekday slots. For a child in Classes 9 to 12, fit tuition into the whole week's plan rather than adding it on top; our Class 10 study timetable guide has a weekly plan you can adapt.
What to check before you choose a tutor in Ravet
- Their route at your session time, including which river or highway crossing they will use.
- Whether they are teaching your child's board and class this year.
- Whether they can keep the slot through the monsoon and your child's exam weeks.
- Fee, sessions a month and the rule for missed classes, agreed before the first session.
