Pimple Saudagar was one of the villages brought into Pimpri-Chinchwad in 1982, together with neighbours such as Pimple Gurav, Pimple Nilakh and Rahatani. It has since filled with housing societies and become a dense residential neighbourhood on the Pavana river, with Pimpri on the far bank and Wakad to the west.

CBSE's affiliation directory lists G.K. Gurukul, Challenger Public School and VIBGYOR Rise School in Pimple Saudagar, and SNBP International School just off the Pimple Saudagar-Rahatani link road. All four are listed at senior secondary level, so children can stay at them through Class 12.
That shapes what to look for in Classes 11 and 12.
